The north-east driver. Travels and low rents for Gorizia

17 December, Il Sole 24 Ore

Low rents and travels. Thanks to its affordability and dynamism, the province of Gorizia ranked among the first cities of the “Wealth and Consumption” chart after Belluno, Bolzano and Milan, which is first. Belluno is second in the chart for the most convenient monthly rent prices (330 euro), after Avellino (310 euro), while Milan is at the opposite side (1,740 euro) along with Venice (1,610) and Rome (1,600). The big cities are the first places for property purchasing prices: Rome and Milan have the most expensive properties.

In Gorizia, the money saved on rent can be spent in tourism: 1,285 euro per capita. The amount is 28 times more than the consumptions in Enna (45 euro). Certainly, travelling is easier when you’re close to the border. After Gorizia, in fact, there are Varese, Como and Trieste.

The provinces with the highest GDP are Milan and Bolzano. They’re followed by Bologna, Modena, Parma, and Florence: all areas known for their business vocation. Consumptions for durable goods are high in medium-sized provinces: Prato and Modena are at the top of the chart respectively with 3,103 and 3,049 per household in 2017. The expenditure is three times higher than the one in Enna which is set at 1,291 euro.
