According to Tecnocasa, 2020 is expected to register about 610,000 property transactions, while prices in the big cities are meant to rise by 1-3%. The trend will also concern the suburbs and the hinterland. However, this outlook should take into account the macroeconomic context and the impact of Coronavirus on the economy.
In 2019 the most dynamic cities were Milan (+6.9%), Bologna (+6.2%) and Genova (+3.7%), while transactions declined in Florence (-7.5%), Naples (-2.4%), Bari (-1.8%) and Verona (-0.8%).
