Mortgages for purchasing are more than subrogation

The mortgages for purchasing of property are growing and are exceeding those issued for subrogation, while the fixed rate remains Italians’ favourite. These are the main conclusions from the last survey by Mutuionline.it on the third quarter of 2017, even though the figures are related to the months that have actually passed, therefore they are not an estimation or a forecast about the closure of the whole quarter, which will conclude at the end of this month.

In the period analysed, the loans to purchase the first house have been 46%, against 41.3% in the second quarter of 2017, whereas the subrogation has fallen to 43.3% against 49.7%. The fixed rate was chosen by more than 83% of the subscribers.

For what concerns age, “44.5% of the loans were issued to people aged between 36 and 45 years and 35.6% for an income range between 1,501 and 2 thousand euro”.

Finally, “the average fixed rate for mortgages for 20 to 30 years has set at 2.19%, slightly decreasing compared to July 2017 (2.36%). The average variable rate has registered a slight increase (0.98% compared to 1% in July 2017)”.
