Hoist reached the agreement for the acquisition of the Maran group from Spoleto

Hoist closed the deal for the acquisition of the Maran group from Spoleto. Hoist Italia, part of the European group Finance, reached an agreement with Maran. The company has been operating since 1993 in credit collection on behalf of third parties, and it was under an arrangement with creditors. The operation implies the acquisition by Hoist Finance Italia of all its businesses and of the 183 employees of the company. “We’re happy to have positively completed this operation after a long and complex negotiation”, commented Clemente Reale, country manager for Hoist Finance Italia. “Thanks to this agreement, Hoist is strengthening its position on the Italian market, placing itself among the main players of the NPL sector. Besides, the acquisition of Maran confirms the interest of the group in continuing investing in the country”.

Hoist Finance is a Swedish company providing debt reorganisation services to international banks and financial institutions. It specialises in the acquisition and management of performing and non-performing loans. In 2014 the company acquired Trc spa, an Italian company with over 40 years of experience in the industry led by Clemente Reale. Hoist started a collaboration with the company is 2011. In Italy. It invested over 800 million euro, acquiring portfolios of the most important banking and financial institutions. Managing NPLs for 8.5 billion euro, it’s one of the main players in the sector.

Finance is present in 11 European countries: Sweden, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, UK, Austria, Greece, Spain and Italy, which is today the biggest market of the group.
