Higher returns for those investing in Gallura

Winter might be the right season to plan the purchase of a beach house, identifying the most suitable location and property type for a rental. “Who loves Sardinia and its sea, we’ll find some opportunities in Gallura, especially in the portion of coast going from Olbia to Palau, choosing between one- and two-bedroom apartments inside a residential complex of recent construction. This market segment is gradually recovering, and it’s possible to obtain good deals and excellent returns even with a limited budget”, explains Luciano Magi, Idee Residenziali Ceo, the consulting company for touristic properties.

The investment for a property with sea view with a 50-60 Sq m-surface may is between 150 thousand and 250 thousand euro, while the returns from the rent amount to 7-8 thousand euro per season. Thanks to the rise of low-cost flights in the past few years, the touristic season has stretched from June to September. Magi continues: “If the intention is to rent the property, the presence of the swimming pool in the condominium is a must, as this is very popular among foreigners. Moreover, external spaces such a terrace or a patio with a garden are highly appreciated. We also recommend choosing a location well served by shops, supermarkets, restaurants and well connected with the airport”.
