Green light from the ECB to Guber Banca

Guber Spa has obtained the authorization to carry out banking activity from the European Central Bank and has officially launched Guber Banca.
As the memo reads, Guber Bank will be an online bank operating mainly in credit and services to SMEs. It will be specialised in the NPL management and purchase, which is already the core business of Guber Spa, also in partnership with institutional investors.
The funding process of the new bank will focus on online deposits, at least in the initial phase.
“The transformation into bank is the first step of a new path – said Gianluigi Bertini, founding member and vice president of Guber Banca – that will allow Guber to provide a wider range of services to support small and medium enterprises, counting on a 27-year long experience in bad loan management. We’re happy with the approval obtained by the ECB that grant us the banking license”.
