Foreigners are investing in Florence

Fimaa reports that Florence is the favourite destination of wealthy foreign investors. Tuscany registered a 2.6% increase in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, with about 500 transactions amounting to over 2.5 million euro.

Russian investors favour investments in hotels (+3.5% in 2019), retail (+3.1%) and houses (+2%). Lebanese tend to focus on B&Bs and shops in the city centre to rent out for a value comprised between 1.5 and 3 million euro. Finally, investors from the UAE tend to invest in large hotels for an amount between 20 and 27 million euro.
