Eurostat: property prices rising in Europe except in Italy

Eurostat reports that property prices grew by 4.5% both in the EU and in the Eurozone in the second quarter of 2019 in comparison with the same period of last year. Compared to the first quarter, prices rose by 1.7% in the Eurozone and by 1.6% in the EU. The sharpest increases were recorded in Hungary (+14%), Luxemburg (+11.4%), Croatia (+10.4%) and Portugal (+10.1%). Meanwhile in Italy, prices decreased by -0.2%.
