Che Banca! selling the NPLs of the Charlot portfolio

The news was circulating since already some time among the operators of the sector: Che Banca! is evaluating the sale of NPLs. The portfolio is rather interesting, as it consists of loans backed by residential mortgages. The nominal value is modest (about 140 million), but the purchase price (if the portfolio will be put for sale) is estimated to be quite high.
The management of the bank, whose accounts are already in good shape, is carefully studying the operation. The sale is supposed to involve the usual players (funds and servicers). In that case, special purpose vehicles will be created to manage and collect the credit.
