Milan: from Fastweb to Luxottica, the big companies are moving to the suburbs

29 April, Corriere della Sera

More and more companies in Milan decided to move to the outskirts of the city. This is due to the need for bigger spaces for large companies, but also by the necessity to create new hubs, contributing to the requalification of entire neighbourhoods.

Some names are Fastweb-Symbiosis at Scalo Romana, Vodafone and Huawei in Lorenteggio, Siemens at Adriano, and Sky in Santa Giulia. The luxury brands Gucci and Lvmh are in Corvetto and Vigentino, while Milan FC moved to Portello. The pharmaceutical companies Bayer and Bracco have their headquarters respectively in Viale Certosa and Lambrate. The industrial groups Prysmian and Pirelli are in Bicocca, while Luxottica might move to Via Tortona in the future.
