A Bulgari hotel opening in two years in Piazza Augusto Imperatore in Rome

24 October, Fashion Network

Bulgari will open its second hotel in Italy.  No official news has been disclosed yet, but the website Gugsto confirmed the rumours that have been circulating for the last three years. The luxury brand, in partnership with Marriott International, will bring to new life the old palace formerly occupied by the INPS offices in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, opposite to the Augustus Mausoleum. The works will start in 2020 and will end in 2022.

The maison already owns four hotels (Milan, London, Beijing and Shanghai) and two resorts (Bali and Dubai). The brand will open other two hotels in Moscow and Paris by 2020, and in Tokyo by 2022. The opening in Rome is not mentioned in the Bulgari Hotels & Resort website yet. The authority in charge of the management of the property is proceeding with the closure of the commercial activities located on the ground floor.

According to the non-official news gathered by Gugsto, another clue is that Bulgari Hotels is currently looking on Linkedin for a ‘Senior Pr Officer’ position in Rome.

Concerning catering, it’s likely that Bulgari will continue its collaboration with Niko Romito also for the Rome hotel. The partnership started in 2017. The 3-star Michelin chef developed a special menu just for the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts restaurants in Milan, Beijing, Dubai, Shanghai, and Moscow and Paris as well in the future. The menu offers the finest Italian cuisine in order to express the Italian culture, elegance and spirit at its best.
