Milan: a park and affordable housing to replace the old racecourses

06 May, La Repubblica

Snaitech, the company owning the 150 thousand Sq m surface which used to accommodate the horse races, is about to sell the area to Hines. Here, the American group plans to create a new neighbourhood: a big park, sports facilities and other services supporting the San Siro stadium such as shops, restaurants and a hotel. But the company also aims at implementing new residences by offering affordable housing to a mix of generations, to young couples to senior citizens. The operation is worth half a billion euro in total.
