EQT to invest 300 mln € in assisted living

The Fund EQT Real Estate II has recently started a joint venture with AR.CO. to invest in assist living facilities, mainly located in Northern Italy, for a total capacity of 300 million €. The fund’s first investment consists of the development of five facilities in Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna for 1,010 beds in total. The assets will be completed by 2023 and leased to primary healthcare operators.

Aquileia Capital Services is developing the residential complex “Albòra” in Genoa

Banca Carige transferred to Amco leasing NPLs for 70 mln €

Following its derisking process started in 2019, Banca Carige transferred to Amco a leasing portfolio amounting to 70 million €. The portfolio includes NPLs and UTPs, mostly deriving from real estate leasing. As a result of this transaction, the quality of the bank’s assets has further improved, with the gross NPE ratio set at 4.5% and the net NPE ratio at 2.4%.

Goodman currently building a new Amazon logistic hub in Pioltello (Milan)

Kryalos acquired three logistic assets for 35,000 Sq m in total

Through its alternative real estate investment fund Thunder II, Kryalos finalized the acquisition of three logistic hubs located 30 km from Milan with a 35,000 Sq m surface and 95 loading docks in total. One asset is in Tavazzano (Lodi), while the other two are in Siziano (Pavia). The assets are leased to 3PL and environmental services operators.

Vastint to relaunch Porta Susa train station in Turin

Vastint, the company reporting to Interogo Foundation, which also owns Ikea, acquired the area surrounding Porta Susa railway station in Turin. The requalification implies the construction of a seven-floors four-star hotel under the brand Tribute by Marriott. In addition to that, the protected building nearby will be used for restaurants, services and leisure, including a park outside. Works are expected to start by summer.

Grand Hotel de la Minerve in Rome to be renovated by Arsenale

Arsenale closed an agreement with the Billi family to acquire Grand Hotel de la Minerve in Rome. According to the agreement, the hotel will continue to be managed by Billi for the rest of the year to undergo in 2022 a total overhaul and re-open by Christmas 2023.

The operation is consistent with Arsenale’s strategy of requalifying Italian luxury hotels to offer a new high-quality and innovative product. The company’s objective is to invest approximately 230 million € in the next five years to create an Italian player capable of competing with the biggest international brands.
