The APS – Piraeus Bank bad loan deal failed

The agreement between Piraeus Bank and the Czech Investor APS for the purchase of the Iris bad loan portfolio has failed.

The preferred investor, APS, had been failing for several months to find funding to complete the transaction. The coronavirus pandemic marked the end of any effort.

Piraeus Bank has the alternative to turn to its strategic partner, Intrum.
