Tender for the distressed real estate operator: conditions investors must meet

The prospective investor who will participate in the tender for the creation of the property acquisition and lease-back entity needs to make available own funds — or personal property if they are a natural person — EUR 500 m or EUR 5 bn of invested active funds and experience in real estate management.

The operator will buy the properties that are the primary residence of vulnerable households and allow them to stay for rent, investing up to EUR 2 bn in capital. These are the terms mentioned in the tender notice published by the Ministry of Finance, for interested investors to submit their proposals in view of the tender procedure that will highlight the preferred investor.
