The Greek Real Estate market seems to be picking up. The banks have started approving mortgage loans and there has been a raise in the prices of RE by 1,5% after ten years.
The rise in the prices is attributed to the massive buys by foreign investment funds and to hospitality platforms like Airbnb. According to RE agents, the investors are focused on neighborhoods like Ampelokipoi, Pangrati, Attikis square, Keramikos, Kypseli, Ilisia, Goudi, Gyzi, Exarcheia, Psirri. The prices depend on the age of the buildings. In most cases, buyers need to invest a lot of money for renovations. In Athens, there is a 56% rise in sale contracts compared since 2017.
