A Logistics city to be developed in Attica

The plan of HRADF to create the first, and largest in SE Europe organised logistics city in Fili, Attica is already attracting attention of the global construction and real estate market.

The Government Committee for Strategic Contracts approved the ambitious relocation plan of the 350 transport-logistics companies currently operating in Eleonas, which “flood” the Athens with 4,000 trucks per day and cause traffic congestion.

The development of a property of approximately 600 acres owned by the municipality of Fili near Attiki Odos and with access to the railway line, will be assigned to the PPF of the HRADF.

An amount of €20 m for the relocation of the 350 logistics companies currently operating in Eleonas, has already been secured from the Recovery Fund.

The goal is to complete the tender in 2023 and to create a model logistics center. The project budget can even reach 500m euros, and it has already attracted international and domestic interest. The logistics companies through a coupon will be rewarded to be transferred to the new space that will have buildings for the establishment of companies, hotel, restaurants, and banks, creating a small town.

The installation of logistics companies will require about 100,000 square meters while the remaining buildings can accommodate other businesses such as courier companies and those who request access to the area, as it will have direct road and rail connection, greatly facilitating transportation.
