Israelis choose Thessaloniki to invest in hospitality RE

According to data from the local brokerage association Israeli investor funds have bought out 30 buildings all over the city centre and the port region to transform into boutique hotels.

The strong presence of Balkan and Turkish buyers has subsided, giving its place to Israeli-owned funds. Thessaloniki has had a rise of visitors over the last years from all over west Europe. The buildings bought out are very often deserted or very old and will be renovated from scratch.
