The Swiss bank acquired a 3.17% stake in listed Hispania Activos Inmobiliarios for €17.8 million.
As per official registry of the CNMV (Spain´s Stock Exchange Commission), UBS directly bought 1.7 million shares which will be added to another 1.2 million the bank purchased at the company´s flotation.
As its underwriters, UBS and Goldman Sachs executed the “green shoe” option. Other big name investors having a holding in Hispania are Paulson & Co with 18.37% of the stake, George Soros with 16.7% and PAC Recovery Fund with 9.1% the firm.
Furthermore, Credit Suisse holds 4.9%, Cohen & Steers 4.4%, APG Asset Management 4.1%, while Fidelity owns 1.8% of Hispania.
Recently, the listed company acquired the Hotel Guadalmina SPA & Golf Resort in Marbella for €21.5 million.
