The Community of Madrid has launched the “Land Portal” (“Portal de Suelo” in Spanish), embedded in its official website. The portal piles up information about available plots across the region. With the new tool found at www.madrid.org/suelo/, local authority seeks attracting greater attention on the part of investors.
The portal offers a rapid, easy and personalized search, as well as detailed land descriptions and photos. Both Spanish- and English-speaking users may find all technical information about the plots for sale/rent.
Among the vendors one may find such institutions as the General Council for Environmental and Planning Issues, Madrid´s Housing Institute (aka Ivima), the General Council for Financial Policy, the Treasury and Patrimony department of the Economy and Treasury Council, Madrid´s Metro, several urban consortia and Coslada´s Transport Center.
Madrid´s Community lists the entire portfolio of public land it has on sale/rent through concession/surface right contracts, including industrial, logistic, commercial and residential lots.
Among the industrial and technology plots, noteworthy are Parque Leganes Tecnologico, Tecnogetafe and Mostoles Tecnologico, while if it comes to residential land for subsidized housing, locations like Los Molinos and Buenavista (Getafe) and Espartales Norte (Alcala de Henares) ought to be highlighted.
At the moment of launch, the new tool encompasses 1.6 million square meters, out of which area 1.4 million square meters corresponds to building land.
